Infant/Toddler Class
Our Infants and Toddler's participate in a relaxed structured daily schedule. They have teacher's who not only care for them, but engage in meaningful play to target developmental milestones. There is a set time each day to enjoy read-a-louds, arts and crafts activities, outside or indoor gross motor play, and free choice activities with center toys. Diapers are changed every two hours, and checked every 30 minutes. Your child will develop their ability to play and share with others.
3-Year Old Preschool Class
We are excited to offer a.m. preschool classes utilizing The Creative Curriculum. In this curriculum children learn needed skills fromt he Kentucky Early Childhood Learning Standards and develop kindergarten readiness skills through play, small group, and whole group activities. Our program will offer opportunities for your child to learn to write his/her name, learn letters/sounds, numbers, shapes, colors, and important social interaction skills. Preschool classes are over at 11:00 am, and we offer wrap-around services for p.m. care.
Before/After School Care
Paren't who need care for their school aged children can drop their child off as early as 6:00 am and they will load the Lyon County School bus at approximately 7:10 am. Children can also get off the school bus at our center in the evenings at approximately 3:15 pm. Children attending after school care will receive a snack, and enjoy playing in our centers or outside on the play ground. They are also encouraged to complete homework while in our care.
